Somatic coaching
What is somatic coaching?
Coaching that adds the body to reflection: we start from what you want to work through, and explore how your body lives it (sensations, emotions, conscious breathing). The aim: to turn stress and doubt into clear decisions and aligned action, where “understanding” is no longer enough.
Is it therapy?
No. It is body-centred coaching, but not therapy: I do not work on pathologies, complex trauma or psychiatric conditions. If you are going through a crisis, I encourage you to see a qualified mental health professional.
Who is it for?
People with responsibilities who feel stuck at a turning point: they know something has to change, without yet knowing what or how. They have often already thought a lot, analysed, tried other approaches, and feel they are going round in circles.
I have never done any body work. Is it for me?
Yes. There is nothing to get right: we start from where you are, with what your body can perceive today.
How does a session work?
In three steps: setting the intention (the result you want by the end of the session), exploring with the body (sensations, emotions, thoughts, breathing, parts work), then anchoring what opened up into a concrete commitment. After each session you receive a personalised written summary and exercises.
Online or in person?
Sessions take place online, or in person in Paris on request (an extra €20 per session for the room). You can alternate. Online works very well: much of the work relies on attention to your sensations, which you can explore wherever you are. Sessions can be held in English.
How much does it cost?
Rise: 3 months, six one-hour sessions, €720. Solar: 6 months, twelve sessions, €1,320. Monthly membership: €220 per month, for people who have already had a session with me. Payment by bank transfer, in one, two or three instalments. If after the first session it really doesn’t work for you, I refund the programme minus the cost of that session (guarantee for payment in full).
Which programme should I start with?
Rise is designed as a first cycle. Solar takes over if you want to go further. The monthly membership suits you if you already know where you want to go and want to move fast. We talk about it during the discovery call.
How do I start?
With a free, no-commitment 30-minute discovery call, to feel together whether we are a good match. If we are not, we simply say so.
Which approaches do you draw on?
Parts work, with a Partswork approach inspired by IFS (Internal Family Systems), Focusing, Hakomi, conscious breathing and nervous system regulation.
What is your training?
Accredited Diploma in Body-Oriented Coaching (The Somatic School, 2026, ICF Level 2 accredited), facilitator training in conscious connected breathing (Breath Masters Academy, 2023), a psychology degree in progress at Paris 8 University, and ICF ACC certification in progress.
Narrative Breathwork
What is Narrative Breathwork?
A guided practice of conscious connected breathing, inspired by the breathwork approaches of the 1960s and 70s (Rebirthing, Holotropic) and by yogic traditions (Pranayama). Each workshop is carried by a symbolic theme (death, grief, anger, pleasure…) and a narration that helps you immerse yourself.
What happens in a workshop?
A welcome circle, a briefing on the process and its possible effects, about an hour of guided breathing lying down, then time to integrate and a sharing circle (you can also stay silent, write or rest).
Where and when?
One Monday evening a month, from 7:30 to 9:15 pm, at the Meïsō Olympiades centre, Paris 13th. 12 places per workshop. The season’s programme is on the Narrative Breathwork page. Workshops are held in French.
How much does it cost?
€50 per workshop, €35 solidarity rate (2 places per workshop, no proof required). Book online on Billetweb.
Do I need experience?
No. The briefing explains the process before we start, and you are guided throughout the breathing.
Are there contraindications?
Yes, it is a powerful practice. It is not advised in case of epilepsy, pregnancy, a history of psychosis or schizophrenia, aneurysm, retinal detachment or recent surgery. Other conditions require medical advice (severe cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, severe asthma, type 1 diabetes…). The full list is on the Narrative Breathwork page. If you are going through recent grief or unstabilised trauma, write to me before booking: contact@clementmarceau.com.
What should I bring?
Avoid eating in the two hours before. Bring a bottle of water and a notebook, and wear comfortable clothes. Mats and blankets are provided.
What if I can no longer come?
Cancellation is free until the day before the workshop. On the day, or if you don’t show up, 50% of the price is kept.
Can I breathe at home between workshops?
Yes: the Breathe page offers free guided practices (heart coherence, cyclic sighing, box breathing).
